Thermal Spray Coating
Thermal spray coatings (TSC) is the generic term for all surface treatments by means of a thermal spraying process.
With this technique a topcoat is applied to a substrate.
We refer to a cold process because the usual substrate temperature varies from 50 to 200°C. Due to this, no distortion, structure change or mixing will occur.
Plasmajet has the following atmospheric processes available:
Process | Characteristic | Typical coating
Plasma spraying | High temperature | Ceramic coatings
HVOF | High velocity | Wolfram carbide coatings
Electric arc spraying | Large surface | Metallic coatings
Flame spraying | Simple process | Metallic coatings |
